About

Writing Wales is an independent website established with the aim of providing news, information and reviews on Anglophone Welsh writing. The field of Anglophone Welsh writing is vibrant and successful, widely studied in universities and colleges, both in the UK and internationally. Writing Wales aims to draw attention to key ideas in this diverse and rapidly expanding field

The website is non-profit making and is intended to provide information on interesting publications, websites and events relevant to contemporary Wales. Writing Wales hopes to bring a fresh contribution to the field, offering a place to find out more about recent publications and developments, considering emerging themes and questions raised by writing from Wales.

Writing Wales is run by Dr Emma Schofield from Cardiff University, an early-career researcher in the field of Anglophone Welsh writing, culture and politics.
